Mastering Technology of Participation (MToP)
Professional Competency and Credentials
An intensive year-long training program in Technology of Participation® (ToP®) methods for those wishing to significantly increase their skills in group facilitation. The program provides both a theoretical foundation and opportunities for practice and feedback.
PROGRAM COMPONENTS
Participants create a learning community to support and deepen their journey through:
- • 12 training days (3 days/quarter) focusing on theoretical and experiential learning
- • Depth interchange with program colleagues
- • Participants arrange practical applications of ToP methods between training sessions in participant's workplace and community
- • Individual research in the field of facilitation presented to the group for feedback
- • A one-hour mentoring conversation each month with ICA ToP mentors
- • Selected on-site mentoring in facilitated programs
- • Practical tools that initiate and sustain change processes that help teams focus creativity toward effective action and productivity
- • Deepened understanding of the philosophy and world view underlying the technology of Participation®.
- • Expanded skills for designing processes to facilitate complex situation
- • Supportive community of colleagues engaged in the practice of facilitation
- • Understanding the relationship of ToP® methods to other facilitation and organizational development methods
- • Reflection that integrates knowledge with application
- • Intensive experience with the full range of competencies needed to be a successful ToP® facilitator.
